Short Deck Poker, also known as Six Plus Hold’em or 6+, is an exciting poker variant that has taken the high-stakes poker world by storm. The game is played with a 36-card deck, removing all cards from 2 through 5, which fundamentally changes hand rankings and strategy.
Originally popularized in the private games of Macau, Short Deck has grown into a mainstream format featured in major poker tournaments worldwide, including the World Series of Poker and Triton Poker Series.
SixPlusHoldem.com was founded in the summer of 2018 with a simple mission:
to provide the most reliable and accessible Short Deck / 6+ Hold’em education available anywhere online.
Back when Short Deck was still new, clear information was nearly impossible to find and players struggled to understand this fast, dynamic format. We saw this gap and set out to build a platform that delivers real value: accurate charts, proven GTO insights and structured training tools that help players of all levels improve their game.
Today, we are proud to be one of the oldest and most trusted Short Deck learning communities in the world.
